Letty

AI-Powered Autonomous EV Rental Platform for Letty in Norway

AI-powered digital self-service rental reducing inspections, costs, and scaling EV operations.

The Challenge

Letty aimed to redefine the EV rental experience through technology.

Rather than relying on traditional, manual rental processes, the goal was to modernise the relationship with customers by creating a fully digital, autonomous, and seamless interaction model.

This required replacing physical handovers, manual inspections, and fragmented workflows with a technology-driven platform capable of delivering real-time vehicle access, operational control, and a frictionless customer journey — while ensuring scalability and cost efficiency.

The solution

Working closely with Letty and its fleet management partner Nexus Ops, Optimizer architected and delivered a fully digital, AI-powered rental platform enabling a seamless end-to-end self-service experience.

The solution integrates booking, payment, identity verification, remote vehicle access, and digital return into a unified and frictionless workflow. We engineered deep integration with the Tesla API and mobility services to enable real-time vehicle control, monitoring, and operational visibility.

AI capabilities were embedded to automate operational processes, reduce manual inspection effort, and streamline damage and incident management. The platform was designed to be secure, scalable, and production-ready, enabling autonomous operations while maintaining full operational control.

The result

The platform significantly reduced manual operational effort, particularly in vehicle inspections and handovers, lowering costs while improving efficiency.

In specific deployments, vehicle utilisation exceeded 80% on weekends and 65% during evening periods on working days, demonstrating the strength of the autonomous, AI-enabled car-sharing model.

The solution enabled optimisation of fleet size, reducing the need for owned vehicles and lowering operational and asset-related costs.

Customers benefit from a fully digital, frictionless rental experience, while Letty strengthened its position as a technology-driven mobility provider capable of scaling EV operations without proportional growth in operational teams.
